Lil Wayne Sued by Producer Over Single 'Mirror'
TMZ
, the producer named Ramon Owen a.k.a. REO claims the rapper failed to pay him for his work on the song.
REO states in a new lawsuit that Wayne and his Young Money label told him in a statement that he would receive at least $91,000 for his service. However, the producer never received any money from Tunechi. "Mirror" appears on Wayne's 2011 album "Tha Carter IV". Featuring Bruno Mars on the hook, the chart-topping song has sold over 2 million copies.
REO revealed in a 2011 interview with MTV that some other rappers had listened to the "Mirror" beat before it eventually became Wayne's. "[Kanye West] heard it, Drake heard it, and it already had the Bruno [hook]," he said. "Basically, Nas had it for a while, and it just ended up in the hands of Wayne and he loved it."
