Justin Bieber Pays $80,000 in Egging Case

Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber has paid more than $80,000 in restitution in connection to a vandalism charge filed against him earlier this year. According to Bieber's lawyer Shawn Holley who appeared in court on Monday, November 10 for a hearing, Bieber paid $80,900 to his former neighbor whose house he egged in January.

The pop star was sentenced to five days of community service, 12 anger management sessions, two years of probation and was told to pay the neighbor for damages after pleading no contest to vandalism in July. Bieber paid the restitution in August.

The "Baby" hitmaker, however, has not started the community service or completed the anger management classes. Holley said his client would complete the sentence by February. Superior Court Judge Leland B. Harris did not show concern on the star's progress during the court meeting, The Associated Press reports. Another court meeting is scheduled for February 10.

Bieber reportedly would do labor work for MusiCares, an organization helping ill and indigent musicians, but NY Daily News reports the talks for the placement fell through. It is not immediately known where Bieber will work, but he is not expected to complete the community service which requires him working in public
