'San Andreas' New Trailer: Dwayne Johnson Faces Tidal Waves as the Earth Cracks Open
The new trailer for "San Andreas" is unleashed for viewing pleasure ahead of the movie release.
The video is full of intense scenes as a magnitude 9 earthquake hits California after the infamous San Andreas Fault finally gives. Paul Giamatti, who appears to play a scientist, warns people the danger that's coming ahead.
"People need to know that the shaking is not over. We'll get hit again, and it's going to be a bigger monster," he says as the scenes show buildings falling apart. He continues, "The earth will literally crack open. And you will feel it on the east coast."
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson plays a search and rescue helicopter pilot. He and his estranged wife, portrayed by Carla Gugino, make their way together from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter. But their treacherous journey north is only the beginning. And when they think the worst may be over...it's just getting started.
Directed by Brad Peyton, the big budget disaster film also stars Alexandra Daddario, Ioan Gruffudd and Colton Haynes among others. It will open in theaters across the nation on May 29.
