Arnold Schwarzenegger Hints at 'The Running Man' Sequel

"The Running Man" is getting a sequel. The main actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, revealed the plan for the second installment during a Q&A session in London. "There's rumblings of a new 'Running Man' movie, so it's a great honor to be asked back," he said as quoted by Digital Spy. The original 1987 movie loosely based on Stephen King's novel bears resemblance to "The Hunger Games" which is coming to an end next year. It follows convicted criminals given a chance of freedom in a reality TV show where they are being hunted down by professional killers.

Before participating in a twisted TV show for "The Running Man 2", Arnie will first reprise his role as cyborg in "Terminator Genisys" due July 2015. He is also attached to a new Conan the Barbarian movie and a sequel to his classic flick "Twins".

"They're doing a 'Twins' sequel, to be called 'Triplets'. I've read the first draft," he spilled. "It's an honor to be asked back after all these years, back to the franchise. This is really wild." He added, "Harrison Ford was recently asked to get back to 'Star Wars', but it's very rare to come back [after so many years]."
