Tyga Announces 'The Gold Album' Will Arrive in December
Tyga's "The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty" has a new release date. The rapper announced on Twitter on Wednesday, November 12 that the LP, which was originally planned for November 18, would finally arrive on December 23. It's still unclear if the record will come via his record label Young Money. Last month, T-Raww blasted the company in a series of Twitter posts, saying the album was done but he wasn't allowed to release it. He then threatened to leak the project and leave the label.
Additionally, he dissed labelmates Drake and Nicki Minaj in an interview with Vibe. "I don't like Drake as a person. He's just fake to me," he said of Drizzy.
YMCMB's boss Birdman later revealed in a recent interview with Funkmaster Flex that Tyga was still a member of Young Money family. "Either you're in or you're out. If you're out, you're an outcast to me. If you're in, we family,'" he said. "You gotta choose your side, but I got nothing but respect for Tyga."
Having spawned tracks like "Hookah" and "40 Mill", "The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty" was co-produced by none other than Kanye West. After putting out the album, Tyga will join Chris Brown and Trey Songz on their "Between the Sheets" joint tour that opens in January 2015.
